It'd be courteous to announce the shutdown, for this game specifically, far in advance so that anyone who bought it intending to play it all the way, can still do so.ītw I'm having a blast playing this game, and am amazed at the skill of the people topping the leaderboards! I did see however a bunch of people on TrueAchievements who had just bought the game (one guy I think literally the day before the announcement), it is quite sour for them. Myself, I bought the game years ago, so you could say that's on me for not playing it earlier in it's lifespan.
Even for a skilled and very dedicated gamer (= get double Gold on daily challenges every day) that wishes to reach Awesomeness 11, it takes just over three months to do so (14 weeks and a few days iirc). And while I think groups of gamers (and in fact all sorts of groups of people online) can often be a bit entitled, this request does make some sense to me.
The shutdown makes sense ofc, with an Xbox One version also being available, and the population of people who only have a 7th gen consoling decreasing ever further.
